WHAT IS MY BACKGROUND?

I joined the DNA team in March 2009 as assistant to Gillian & Ian. My work experience in the UK started 10 years ago when I left South Africa at the age of 20, moving to the UK and trying out various jobs in different fields. My first experience in the UK was working in a pub called the Goat House, which I found wasn’t really for me. I was then approached to work as PA to one of the directors of a firm called Malling Holzman on a site in Stratford where they built all the concrete links for what is now know as the Eurotunnel. I was employed with Malling Holzman until I gave birth to my son Josh who is now 8. When my son was still very young I decided to study childcare and then registered as a childminder, I did this until my son started year one. I then worked in recruitment for a couple years before I was approached by Gillian and Ian to come join their bubbly team of accountants.
